From Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th June 2025, our Year 6 pupils embarked on an unforgettable residential adventure at PGL Marchants Hill in Surrey – and what a fantastic time they had! Over the course of three action-packed days, the children took part in a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities designed to challenge them physically, mentally and socially. These included raft building (and rowing their own handmade vessels), survival skills, rock climbing, orienteering, archery, the exhilarating giant swing, aeroball competitions, and climbing Jacob’s Ladder – a true test of balance and teamwork. Each activity provided opportunities for pupils to develop confidence, resilience and communication skills, while also having plenty of fun. They worked brilliantly in teams, encouraged one another, and tackled new experiences with courage and determination.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our History Club, a vibrant new addition to our extracurricular offerings! This exciting club is already capturing the imagination of our young historians, and we couldn’t be more proud of the enthusiasm and creativity on display.
On Friday 23rd May 2025, the Reception pupils soared into the skies of imagination as they brought their Superhero topic to a dazzling close - with a BIG BANG of excitement and wonder!
We would like to say a big thank you to all Year 1 Parents, Guardians and Carers for your support helping the children prepare for their Pirate Day. This included practising lines and acting roles, preparing costumes and coming to watch their assembly. All of the children worked really hard to remember their lines and roles and they enjoyed spending the day as a pirate. They were also able to design and create their own pirate ship on the day, which we tested out in the water trays to see which ones sank and which ones floated. Pirate Day has really brought all their learning to life. Thank you again for all your support!
On Friday 9th May, the Year 1 pupils had a fantastic time at Odds Farm Park, enjoying the brilliant weather. They learned about how a dairy cow is milked and discovered that cows drink a bathtub of water daily. They also fed and stroked goats and sheep, and bottlefed baby goats. A tractor tour brought them close to friendly bulls and cows. The day ended with playtime in the indoor and outdoor areas before a relaxing coach ride back to school, where some children even fell asleep. Overall, it was a memorable day filled with learning, laughter, and new experiences that the pupils will cherish for a long time.
We’re excited to share that our Summer Enrichment Clubs are now in full swing, and our pupils are absolutely loving them! Each day is filled with energy, creativity and lots of smiles as children take part in a wide range of engaging activities designed to inspire and entertain. From quiet reading corners to lively dance sessions, fitness routines to green-fingered gardening, there’s something for everyone. We’re so proud of the enthusiasm and teamwork our pupils have shown already, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!
On Friday 25th April 2025, Reception pupils were delighted to welcome a special visitor from Chertsey Museum, who brought along a fascinating collection of toys from the past. The children had the opportunity to view toys that were up to 100 years old! They explored the different materials used to make toys, the
various ways toys move, and compared them to the toys we have today. Historically, toys were primarily made of wood and metal, whereas modern toys are mostly made of plastic. This workshop
significantly contributed to our pupils’ knowledge of the topic, ‘Understanding the World - Past and Present’, as we examined and contrasted toys from different eras. Thank you, Chertsey Museum, for providing such an educational experience!
We were thrilled to celebrate the end of term with our annual Easter Bonnet Parade on Friday 4th April 2025! The children amazed us with their creativity, proudly showcasing a wonderful array of colourful and imaginative bonnets. There was an extra touch of magic this year as we welcomed two very special visitors – the Easter Bunnies themselves! They hopped over to each class, spreading joy and excitement wherever they went. The children were thrilled to meet them, and their smiles lit up the whole school. A big thank you to all the families who helped craft such fantastic bonnets and to everyone who came along to support. It was a joyful way to welcome the Easter break!
