Day Trip to France

On Thursday, 25th September 2025, our Year 6 pupils set off bright and early for an exciting day trip to Boulogne-Sur-Mer in France. Fourteen pupils, accompanied by staff, departed at 5:45am and returned safely at 9:10pm, tired but full of wonderful experiences.
During the trip, pupils explored a variety of cultural and historical sites. Highlights included a visit to Napoleon’s Column and Museum, a stop at Boulogne’s bustling fish market, and the fascinating Egyptian display in the town centre. They also had the opportunity to see the stunning Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
The group enjoyed a traditional French lunch at a local restaurant and later observed kite surfing along the coast before beginning their return journey to the UK. This enriching trip gave pupils the chance to experience French culture first-hand, broaden their knowledge of history, and create lasting memories with their classmates.
