Hewens Primary is part of the family of schools sponsored by The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust. The Trust has a proven track record of success and is responsible for a dramatic upturn in academic achievement locally.

PERFORMANCE IN 2023

The percentage of children achieving a Good Level of Development in the Early Years is 90.6%

78.3% of pupils passed the Phonics screening test at the end of Year 1

Key Stage Two outcomes:

Our progress score in reading was 0.98

Our progress score in mathematics was 2.90

The percentage of pupils who achieved at least the expected standard was 80% in Reading and 88.3% in mathematics

The percentage of pupils who achieved at a higher standard in reading was 30%

The percentage of pupils who achieved at a higher standard in mathematics was 40%

Our average ‘scaled score’ in reading was 104.1

Our average ‘scaled score’ in mathematics was 105
