Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Everyone at Hewens Primary!

Dear Families,

As we reflect on 2021 and the autumn term in particular, most of us will agree that it has been one of the most challenging years that we have ever experienced at Hewens Primary School. However, it has been amazing to see how our staff and families found ways to overcome personal anxieties and fears in order to support each other and the children. As the autumn term draws to a close, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here and I’m sure it will feel even more like Christmas next week.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all stakeholders for your invaluable contribution towards the advancement of the School throughout 2021 even though we are having to be careful and sensible because of coronavirus. The prospect of Christmas cheers us and lifts our spirits. It is a time for sharing, caring and spreading love around the world. It’s also about spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, it’s about creating happy memories that will last a lifetime especially during this current pandemic and all the restrictions we have experienced since 2020. I am sure that all pupils, parents, guardians and carers would like to join with me in thanking all of the staff and governors at Hewens Primary for their continued hard work and commitment to the pupils of the School. Likewise, we the staff, governors and pupils would like to thank all parents, guardians and carers for all your support over the years.

In closing, I would like to thank our pupils – you are indeed some of the best pupils I have ever had the pleasure of working with and all the wonderful memories are forever etched in my mind. For the new year, I hope that you will continue to build wonderful memories through a paradigm shift in leadership and the prospect of having a new Headteacher.

I pray for and wish everyone peace and happiness in all homes and families during this holiday season – may we all be safe and keep healthy. Merry Christmas or Season’s Greetings to everyone and I hope that 2022 will be filled with good health and happiness all year round!
