The Queen’s Official Birthday Celebration 21/06/21

On Friday 11th June, children and staff across the School gathered in the quad to celebrate the 95th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II which was officially celebrated on Saturday 12th June. The children understood why the Queen celebrated two birthdays and most importantly, learnt more about her ceremonial birthday which is always held on the second Saturday in June. Pupils wrote and read some inspirational messages and birthday wishes for the Queen whilst serenading her from afar with known birthday song hits. They also had the opportunity to showcase their royal attire as they assumed the roles of kings and queens. It was indeed a thoroughly enjoyed ceremonial and social event with which the Queen would have been very proud!
