Premier League Reading Challenge 11/11/19
In an effort to promote reading for enjoyment over the half term break, the school launched a ‘Premier league Reading Challenge’. All children were challenged to read at least ten books over the half term break. The expectation was that Early Years and Key stage one pupils should ask their parents, guardians and carers to write detailed comments about their reading; whilst in Key stage two, the children should write the comments themselves. The headteacher has checked all the reading diaries across the school in an effort to identify the winners. Over sixty five children received Premier League football packs, magazines and trading cards for reading at least ten books. Of these sixty five children, ten had received gold reading medals for the outstanding presentation and over fifteen entries made in their reading diaries over the half term break. Congratulations to all the children who participated.
