STEM Workshop 21/10/19
On Monday 14th October, the Year 3 children took part in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workshop. The workshop was based on Pneumatics – the science of pressurised air: using compressed air to transmit force/ energy. They learnt that compressed air in the pneumatic master cyclinder resulted in the single-acting cyclinders directing this air to one direction, which led to involuntary motion. They used this knowledge of pressurised air to make a Roman Soldier carry a sword and shield solely through air entering the master cylinder.
