STIXX Workshop 14/10/19
On Tuesday 8th October, children in Year 6 took part in an interesting World War II STIXX workshop. Pupils adopted innovatory methods to construct shelters (large enough to fit all pupils in their group) out of newspaper and cable ties. This activity highlighted their ingenious efforts as they had to determine the most efficient way of turning rolled up newspaper to firm poles. To their amazement, they found that feeding the rolled up newspaper through the STIXX machine turned this paper into solid poles! They then worked together in groups to design and build their shelters. All the children thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful learning experience.
